How harmful is red meat for health

American experts decided to analyze a huge amount information on the impact of red meat on human health. He showed that this product does indeed pose a considerable risk to humans.
Experts from the American Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, which is a kind of global guide to health statistics, analyzed existing research in 180 areas to establish how much of a health hazard red meat is.
In general, experts were interested in which factors most often and convincingly provoke cancer. For example, smoking received five stars, the highest rating on the proven risk scale. It showed that there was an overwhelming amount of evidence for the effects of smoking on tumors.
High blood pressure also received five stars for effects on cardiovascular disease, confirming the overwhelming volume and strength of the available evidence. But in other pairs of causes and effects, most often the rating was one or two stars. This involved unprocessed red meat.
This product received only one star for its effects on strokes. In other words, the scientists had no evidence of a connection between the influence of red meat on these acute disorders of cerebral circulation. The effect of red meat on tumors of the rectum, mammary gland, coronary heart disease and diabetes received only two stars. The researchers themselves were surprised at how weak the relationship between red meat and certain diseases turned out to be.
