How housewives use brine in cooking

Despite the excess salt and vinegar, cucumber brine is a very useful liquid. With its moderate use, a person receives many of the compounds and trace elements necessary for the body.

Details

However, not all people like the taste of brine. Therefore, in most cases, the “drink” left in the jar after using pickles is simply poured into the sink or toilet.

However, cunning housewives do not do this. Women who have considerable culinary experience know: brine can be made into an ingredient in many delicious dishes, including confectionery.

The dishes will get an interesting flavor note. At the same time, excessive “saltiness” will not be felt.

Cookies

Oddly enough, cucumber brine can be used in the preparation of some sweets.

You can try making cookie dough as follows: mix a pound of flour, a tablespoon of slaked soda, as well as sugar, oil, and brine. As for the last three ingredients, you need to use 10 tablespoons each.

The result will be a sticky base from which you should form several round “plates” – future cookies.

Okroshka

Usually, this cold soup is prepared on the basis of kefir or kvass. However, it makes sense to try making okroshka with brine.

The salty liquid will be the perfect dressing and will emphasize the taste of all ingredients: both meat and vegetable. This okroshka will be very convenient to prepare in winter.

Batter

Cucumber brine can become a component of the “shell” for meat or fish products.

To create a batter, a glass of salty liquid must be combined with a similar volume of flour and two raw eggs.

In the prepared mixture, you need to roll the meat or fish. After that, you can spread the pieces on a hot frying pan. You will get an incredibly tasty dish.
