How phone calls affect the heart
0
Long phone conversations can increase the risk of developing hypertension. A cardiologist and osteopath explained that a phone conversation can be tense and cause stress. In addition, a person moves little during the conversation.
The doctor added that some people cannot fall asleep quickly and peacefully after talking on the phone. The osteopath clarified that during such calls, people often assume uncomfortable postures. When a person holds a phone in their hands, the mobility of their chest and diaphragm is limited, which disrupts breathing.
During emotional conversations, we hold our breath and speak for a long time on the exhale, the doctor explained. This breathing pattern negatively affects blood circulation in the brain, and hypertension occurs.
