How to acidify the soil under blueberries: four available means

Blueberry bushes grow well on the ground with acidity indicators of pH 4.5, but not less than 4.0. If the soil is neutral, the plant may drop leaves and turn yellow. If the soil does not meet the requirements, it can be acidified. There are many available means for this.

Acidification for blueberries

The easiest option is to use citric acid. For this you need 1 tsp. dissolve the agent in 3 liters of water. The specified amount will be quite enough for 1 sq.m. or watering a small young bush.

Table vinegar 9% can also help. They make a solution with it. About 100-150 ml is needed for 10 liters of water. Blueberry tallow will slightly acidify the soil, so it will feel much better.

The third available method of acidification is based on apple cider vinegar. 0.5 cups of the product are dissolved in 10 liters of water. They also pour water under the bush. If you have oxalic acid, you will need 1 tsp. Dilute in 3 liters of water.
