How to do it correctly

The reason lies in nitrogen. It is by its nature a highly mobile substance. When it rains, it is rapidly washed away by the rain and absorbed deep into the soil. As for phosphorus and potassium, the situation is completely different. They are sedentary, therefore, in a nutrient environment, the application of scattering reduces the efficiency.

There is an important nuance. Potassium and phosphorus need to be worked into the soil. If such substances simply remain on the surface, they lose their properties. This happens due to the action of sunlight.

One more factor. If scattered mineral fertilizers remain on the surface, then after rain they can run down together with water into ditches, bright. In general, the effect is lost, the benefit and the fact of useless application becomes obvious.

Taking into account the listed factors, scientists and experts in crop production advise to apply complex nitrogen fertilizers to the rows. In this way, nutrients will quickly and purposefully reach the zone that directly surrounds the root of the plant.
