How to calculate the size of a portion of food so as not to overeat

A dietitian explained how to calculate the size of a food portion to avoid overeating.
The doctor advised using the palm method. This way you can determine how much food is on your plate. A person's palm is approximately equal to the size of their stomach: in women – 300-600 milliliters, and in men – a little more.
The second method is weighing the portion on a culinary scale. If the amount of protein in a serving should be equal to the palm of your hand, then the amount of complex carbohydrates should be equal to the fist.
The measure of dairy products is two thumbs. You should eat as much fruit and vegetables as will fit in a handful.
