How to cheer up without coffee: tasty and healthy substitutes

A cup of coffee in the morning has long become common for many people. However, not everyone can use this drink, and its benefits in general can be argued. Most people simply cannot give up coffee in the morning, because they no longer feel energetic without it. However, the use of coffee can still be reduced by replacing it with other tonic drinks.

Chicory

One of the most famous options for healthy coffee replacement. It has a slightly more pronounced taste and does not contain caffeine. It is believed that chicory is very useful for digestion and especially for the pancreas.

Cereal drinks

Widely known barley drink, it is even called barley coffee. It is prepared from mature barley grains, which are roasted and then ground. Suitable for those who want to enjoy the taste, not its effect. And it goes well with chicory.

Ginger

Ginger helps to improve blood circulation, which gives energy similar to coffee. At the same time, it does not have a negative effect on the nervous system. In the morning, you can make ginger tea or add fresh ginger to a cocktail of greens, vegetables and fruits.

Natural cocoa beans

Cocoa beans are fundamentally different from cocoa powder. They contain a large amount of minerals (magnesium, potassium, calcium), vitamins (A, B, E, H, PP) and fatty acids (oleic, stearic, arachinic). Whole cacao beans also contain theobromine, which stimulates the heart and strengthens blood vessels. Beans can be purchased in health food stores.

To prepare a drink from them, you need to grate them on a fine grater or grind them in a coffee grinder. A soft mass should come out. To prepare the drink, you can use a Turku or a small saucepan with a thick bottom. Pour cold milk over the mass and cook over low heat. You can add anything you like to the resulting cocoa: cream, milk, cinnamon, vanilla sugar.
