The potatoes should be small. Approximately 4-8 cm in diameter. However, it is better not to take large potatoes. The potatoes should be ripe. If you see them with green parts, throw them away, and do not put them in the salad.
Cooks advise boiling old potatoes for salad, not young ones. They should have a fairly thick peel. Do not overcook. When the tuber can be pierced with a fork, remove them. It is better to peel them while they are warm. It is much easier that way.
