Synthetics do not breathe at all, which can cause discomfort during sleep and even skin irritation, especially for pillowcases. Natural fabrics are also not all equally good. Underwear made of fine cotton, calico or calico does not keep its color and shape well and will lose its appearance after several washes.
The best fabrics are silk, linen and satin. Silk is the best choice, this dense smooth fabric creates maximum comfort during sleep, does not injure the skin and hair, does not lose its shape and lasts a long time. The only downside to this type of underwear is that high-quality silk is a rather expensive material, but it is a great investment in a comfortable sleep. Linen is in no way inferior to silk in strength and service life, but this fabric is coarser, which may not be suitable for people with particularly sensitive skin. Satin will be a universal solution if you prefer soft, smooth fabrics, but are not ready to spend on expensive silk.
In addition to the composition of the fabric, it is worth paying attention to its density – it is usually indicated on the package. The density of the fabric depends on the number of threads per square centimeter – the higher the number, the higher the quality of the fabric and the longer it will last. How to care?
Of course, the simplest and most obvious rule is to change bed linen often. In the cold season, it should be done once a week, in the summer it is better twice.
