How to cook a tasty and healthy stew

For many, uzvar is more than just a drink. It is a ritual that combines the taste of childhood, the warmth of family evenings, and even health in every sip. But how to make it so that both the taste and benefits are at their best?

Ingredients:

  • dried apples – 150 g
  • dried pears – 100 g
  • prunes – 50 g
  • honey – 2-3 tbsp. l.
  • water – 2 l
  • cinnamon, cloves – as desired

Dried fruits are thoroughly washed in cold water. Then they are placed in a saucepan, poured with water and brought to a boil. The compote is stewed for 20 minutes over low heat, filling with fruit aromas. If you want to add a spicy accent, throw in a few cloves or a cinnamon stick.

Honey is added only when the compote has cooled slightly. This preserves its beneficial properties, because at high temperatures many vitamins are lost. Interestingly, the drink becomes tastier the next day, when all the ingredients “make friends”.
