How to cook buckwheat correctly to preserve its benefits
1
Did you know that even simple buckwheat can to lose part of its useful properties due to improper preparation? Buckwheat is rich in iron, magnesium and B vitamins, but to preserve its benefits, you need to follow a few simple rules.
Buckwheat should be sorted and washed in cold water. Then bring the water to a boil in a pan – the ratio of water to cereal should be 2:1. Add a pinch of salt and pour buckwheat into boiling water. Cover the pan with a lid, reduce the heat to low and do not stir while cooking. Buckwheat will completely absorb water in 15-20 minutes.
Do not rush to serve the porridge immediately – let it “ripen” under the lid for another 5-10 minutes. This will make it crumbly.
