How to cook chocolate cake in boiling water
1
Have you heard of boiling chocolate cake? This is an amazing recipe that can surprise even experienced confectioners. Boiling water is added to the batter to activate the cocoa and make the cake incredibly tender and moist.
Adding boiling water to the batter helps the cocoa dissolve better, revealing its rich chocolate flavor. Boiling water also helps the pastry become softer and the dough more uniform.
To make a chocolate cake you will need:
- 200 g of flour
- 200 g of sugar
- 50 g of cocoa
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of soda
- a pinch of salt
- 2 eggs
- 100 ml of oil
- 250 ml of boiling water
- 1 pack of vanilla sugar
Before adding boiling water , make sure all the dry ingredients are well mixed. This will help to avoid lumps and ensure an even dough texture.
First, mix all the dry ingredients in one bowl. In another, beat the eggs, oil and vanilla. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the liquid, stirring constantly. Then carefully pour boiling water, continuing to beat. The dough will turn out to be quite liquid – this is normal.
Bake the cake in an oven heated to 180°C for 30 minutes. After cooling, the cake can be decorated with chocolate glaze, dusted with powder or served with a scoop of ice cream.
