How to cook Christmas duck with apples

Every year you wonder how to surprise guests at the holiday table? Ordinary meat seems boring, because everyone cooks it every day, and complex recipes scare you with the number of steps? Duck with apples is what you need! An easy-to-prepare recipe that looks, smells and tastes festive.

Ingredients:

  • duck – 1 pc. (2-2.5 kg)
  • apples (sweet and sour) – 3-4 pcs.
  • honey – 2 tbsp.
  • mustard – 1 tbsp.
  • salt, pepper, spices to taste

The duck is washed and dried with a paper towel. Mix the honey with mustard, salt and spices and rub the duck inside and out. Cut the apples into large pieces and put them inside the duck.

The bird is placed in a baking dish with the breast side up, add a little water to the bottom and cover with foil. Bake the duck at 180°C for about 2 hours, and 20-30 minutes before the end, remove the foil to get a golden crust. Apples soaked in duck juice make a wonderful side dish for meat.
