How to cook lard with paprika

Lardo with paprika can be an everyday delicacy or a holiday dish. It is often baked, and can also be salted. Tasty, aromatic, with a pleasant sweetness.
Ingredients for salting lard with paprika:
- 1 kg of lard (with or without a layer of meat)
- 4-5 cloves of garlic
- 2-3 tablespoons of paprika (sweet)
- 100 g of salt
- 1 teaspoon of ground black pepper
- 1 bay leaf (optional)
First, cut the lard into medium-sized pieces (about 4-5 cm wide). This will make salting easier and allow you to enjoy the finished product faster.
In a deep bowl, mix the salt, paprika and black pepper. Chop the garlic and add it to the mixture. If you like bay leaves, you can chop them up and add them to the spice mixture as well.
Thoroughly roll each piece of lard in the prepared spice mixture so that all sides are well coated.
Place the lard in a container or wrap each piece in cling film, and leave it in the refrigerator for 3-5 days. During this time, the lard will salt well and absorb the aromas of the spices.
