How to cook real paprika at home

Paprika is one of the most popular spices in the world. This spice is used in first and second courses, added to salads and sauces, and used in the process of baking.

To give dishes a characteristic spiciness, it is not necessary to buy it in the store – stock up on a sufficient amount of sweet pepper and prepare the paprika yourself.

Of course, the vegetable needs to be dried. To do this, select ripe fruits that have a red color and wash them thoroughly.

Then leave the peppers spread out on any flat surface for several days at room temperature to soften a little.

< p>After the specified time is up, remove the stem and seeds and cut them into pieces.

Then, using a needle, string it on a thread and leave it to dry in a shaded, dry place that is well ventilated.

< p>For drying, you can also use an oven or an electric dryer – set the temperature to 6 degrees and do not forget about the ventilation mode in the oven.

You can understand that the pepper has dried by breaking it. If it bends, it means it is not ready yet.

Grind the dried peppers into a powder and pour the finished paprika into airtight glass containers for storage.
