Save the recipe for sauerkraut in the Gurian way.
For cooking you need:
- 1 kg of cabbage;
- 1 fresh beet;
- 1 fresh carrot;
- 3 – 4 cloves of garlic;
- 1 liter of water;
- 1.5 tbsp. l. salt;
- 6 tbsp. l. sugar;
- 60 ml of vegetable oil;
- bay leaf, allspice, cloves – to taste.
How to cook
strong> Cut the cabbage into cubes of about 3 cm. Grate the beets and carrots, finely chop the garlic. Then put the vegetables in a saucepan, mix and start the marinade. Dissolve salt and sugar, oil in hot water, add lavrushka, allspice, peas and cloves. After dissolving all the ingredients, pour the marinade over the cabbage and put it under the pressure for a day at room temperature. Periodically poke the cabbage with a wooden spatula so that it does not turn sour. One nuance: cabbage in the Guriya style does not last long, so cook as much as you can eat in a short period of time. It can only be kept in the refrigerator for a few weeks. Delicious!
