How to cook soft stewed turkey

If you cook turkey incorrectly, the meat can become dry and tough . Do you want to prepare tender meat as a side dish? Try this recipe.

Ingredients for tender stewed turkey:

  • 600 g turkey fillet
  • 1 onion
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 200 ml of broth or water
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • Bay leaf, peppercorns
  • Salt and spices to taste

Before cooking, soak the turkey in slightly salted water or kefir for 1 hour. This will help make the meat more juicy and tender.

Cut the turkey into medium pieces, salt and pepper. Fry in olive oil until a light golden crust.

Fry chopped onions and carrots separately until soft. Add the garlic, bay leaf and peppercorns to the vegetables.

Mix the meat with the vegetables in a deep pan or pot. Pour broth or water so that the liquid covers the meat halfway.

Cover with a lid and simmer over low heat for 45-60 minutes, until the turkey is tender and juicy.
