How to cook spaghetti that will “hold its shape”

If spaghetti sticks together and boils, then it will not be possible to make a good side dish based on it. It is not only cheap pasta that is at risk of being overcooked so that it will not keep its shape: it all depends on the technique, not the cost of the pasta.
How to boil pasta that will keep its shape
First of all, you should choose the largest possible saucepan, because you can boil pasta well only if there is enough water. For every 100 g of spaghetti, you should prepare at least a liter of water.
If there is not enough liquid, the pasta may stick together and look not very appetizing.
The next important point is to add a large spoonful of salt. This product helps the flour to remain tasty. Salty water also helps the spaghetti not to boil.
When cooking pasta in a classic way, cooks also add a large spoonful of oil.
It is worth cooking spaghetti a couple of minutes less than indicated on the package. This is when the products will turn out elastic and slightly hard inside. Such pasta is considered properly prepared.
