How to cook tomato sauce with mussels

From tomatoes and mussels you can make a very tasty sauce It has a rich taste, because it contains products that are already perfect in themselves. The sauce can be served with fish, pasta or other dishes. 

Ingredients

The following products are required for preparation:

  • ripe tomatoes – 2 pcs.;
  • mussels – 8 pieces;
  • parsley – 1 bunch;
  • white wine – 4 tablespoons;
  • olive oil – 5 tablespoons;
  • Tabasco sauce;
  • salt.

How to cook

You need to remove the skin from the tomatoes. No one needs such a ready-made sauce. The middle with the seeds must also be cut out. Cut the rest of the dense part of the tomatoes into cubes. Put in a colander to drain the juice.

Let's move on to the mussels. They need to be washed and put in a pan with white wine. Close the lid and simmer. As a result of the heat treatment, the mussels should open.

The wine liquid in which the mussels were boiled should be filtered and returned to the fire. Boil it so that there are literally a few tablespoons of liquid left.

Cut the peeled mussels and put them in the sauce in the pan. Add chopped parsley and tomatoes. Pour olive oil, salt and add tabasco to taste.

Keep the finished sauce in a water bath until serving. For greater aroma and taste, before serving, add chopped fresh parsley to the table. Delicious!
