One of the ingredients of festive salads is a boiled egg. But when you need to cut it into cubes, the yolk crumbles. The same thing happens when you want just boiled eggs, garnished with mayonnaise and greens. The snack is unpretentious. You just don't want to collect yolk crumbs. This is how restaurant and canteen workers cope with this task.

Details

The task itself is not difficult. First, a boiled and peeled egg is cut lengthwise into two halves.

Each of them should be placed on a board with the cut place and then crumble the halves, making cuts with an interval of 5-7 mm.

So that make transverse incisions, it is easier to turn not the egg, but the board itself. Then the actions are repeated in the same order.

And now the secret

In order for the knife to slide like butter and pieces of egg yolk would not stick to the blade, you need to perform one simple trick with the knife.

The blade should be placed under a stream of cold water or immersed and held for a few seconds in ice water.

In this case, the yolk will not fall apart and crumble, and the egg will be cut into neat cubes.
