After hunting for mushrooms, you have a valuable prey – stumps. Some of them can be pickled, others can be frozen to prepare winter dishes, and others can be dried. This method will surprise you, but it is very simple.
How to dry stumps
Start by emptying the box for vegetables and fruits. Wipe it dry and clean. Cover with a napkin. We will lay out the stumps there.
Mushrooms need to be prepared. Clean them, rinse them in water and dry them on a waffle towel. Transfer the prepared mushrooms to the refrigerator in a box. After 1-2 weeks, the dried stumps will be ready.
Are you interested in how they turn out? Yes, they differ from dry ones, taking into account the peculiarities of the temperature effect in the refrigerator. In the end, the stumps come out dried. They taste richer, so they will be better able to express themselves in dishes. Dried mushrooms in the traditional way give less flavor nuances during cooking.
Please note that only small batches of mushrooms can be wilted (dried) in this way. Try an experiment. If you have collected a lot of mushrooms, then dry and store them in classic ways.
