How to easily cook stewed cabbage with mushrooms

Stewed cabbage with mushrooms is a hearty and aromatic dish that is perfect for an autumn lunch or dinner. Simple to prepare, but always tasty and appetizing.
Ingredients:
- white cabbage – 500 g;
- mushrooms (champignons or forest) – 200 g;
- onion – 1 pc.;
- carrot – 1 pc.;
- tomato paste – 1 tbsp. l.;
- oil – 2 tbsp. l.;
- salt, pepper, bay leaf – to taste.
Finely chop the onion and carrot and fry in oil until soft. Add the chopped mushrooms and simmer for another 5-7 minutes until the excess liquid evaporates. Chop the cabbage into thin strips and add to the vegetables. Stir, add tomato paste, salt, pepper and bay leaf.
Pour in a little water (about 50 ml) and simmer the cabbage under the lid for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve hot as a main course or side dish. Try this simple but incredibly flavorful option for a hearty dinner.
