How to feed raspberries and currants at the end of October
0
If you haven't had time to finish your garden work yet, then you have the opportunity to finish everything at the end of October. Today we will talk about berry bushes. Most were fed in September, but some of them still have time to apply the fertilizer they need.
Raspberry feeding
At the end of October, the bushes can be fed with rotted manure. The norm is 3 kg per 1 sq. m. Please note that applying fresh manure is strictly not recommended. This can burn raspberries.
Currants
For bushes during this period, it is recommended to apply: in early October – 0.5 buckets of superphosphate and 1 bucket of potassium sulfate. And at the end of October, another 0.5 buckets of rotted manure.
By the way, if hazel grows on the site, treat the plant to rotted manure as well. You need 1 bucket per bush. This will be quite enough to cover the deficits in filling with nutrients.
