How to have a picnic without damaging your health

In May, some Ukrainians will be selected no matter what to nature and start picnics. So that pleasant leisure time is not spoiled by bad health, experts in the field of public health and medical prevention have reminded what rules to follow during rest.

Recommendations for vacationers:

  • for storage and transfer of perishable products, use a cooler bag;
  • refuse dairy products, eggs and pastry with cream at the picnic, they easily breed disease-causing bacteria;
  • use different knives for raw and ready-made meals;
  • do not buy meat at unverified points of sale;
  • it is better to take lean meat and season it abundantly with seasonings – red and black meat have antiseptic properties pepper, saffron, thyme, turmeric and mustard;
  • make sure that the meat juice does not get into other food, the ready kebab should be used immediately. Protect food from insects – use containers and film;
  • follow the rules of personal hygiene, wash your hands with soap before cooking and eating;

  • do not burden the meal, give preference to fresh greens and vegetables as a snack, generally try to observe moderation in food;
  • preferably refrain from alcohol;
  • go for walks and choose active games ;
  • remember about tick prevention – it means closed clothes, use of repellents, inspections every half hour. In the event of a bite, contact the trauma center so that specialists can remove the tick and take it for examination.
