How to increase the germination of parsley and dill seeds

It would seem that there should be no problems with such a seemingly simple crop as dill and parsley. Some gardeners sow greens in abundance, but they do not germinate well, while others do not plant parsley and dill, but their self-seeding greens grow lushly throughout the garden.

If this happens on your site, you must first understand the reasons for the lack of shoots and eliminate them.

Details

Usually, greens begin to sprout after 15-20 days when sowing dry seeds. If the seeds have germinated, you will not have to wait long – 10-15 days.

If dill and parsley seeds have not sprouted on time, then they contain a lot of essential oils that prevent germination.

You can increase the germination of the seeds themselves if you wash them in warm water – 40-50 degrees before sowing.

The crops need to be watered frequently. One watering per week is not enough. If you can't water your greens often, then when planting, you need to sprinkle everything with compost or other material that will help retain moisture.

You can sow parsley or dill for seedlings, and send them to the soil at the stage of 4-5 true leaves, in combined plantings on any bed with vegetables.
