How to keep leeks fresh throughout the winter

Growing leeks requires storage. Experts have described two methods. If you have also grown this crop, then the following information will be useful to you.

How to store leeks

It is easiest for those who have a basement or cellar. The storage temperature should be +2 degrees. Leeks should be placed in buckets with roots and leaves. Do not break anything. Arrange them so that there is a gap between the specimens. Cover the root part with soil. In this form, the leek will be fresh until spring.

Without a cellar, you can also store leeks for several months. To do this, cut off the lower part of the stem. Also shorten the leaves. Wrap the clean leek in plastic wrap. You can store it in the refrigerator for several months.
