Scientists increasingly they talk more about the numerous advantages of a hot black drink – coffee. According to research, coffee is associated with a lower risk of death from all causes, and some studies support its ability to reduce the risk of heart disease and cancer.
If you prefer a cup of coffee to tea, you may be on to something , as the drink offers some positive benefits. The amount was set at more than three cups of coffee per day. Study participants who drank more of the hot beverage had “significantly” lower all-cause mortality.
There is a link between coffee and cardiovascular disease. Scientists found that the more coffee people drank, the lower their risk of heart failure. However, this was not the case for people who drank only the decaffeinated version of the drink.
“The association between caffeine and reduced risk of heart failure was unexpected. Coffee and caffeine are often considered by the general population to be “bad” for the heart, because people associate them with rapid heartbeat, high blood pressure. The consistent relationship between increased caffeine consumption and decreased risk of heart failure turns this assumption on its head.”
Moderate caffeine consumption, about 400 mg of caffeine per day (equivalent to 5 small cups of coffee) can be consumed within healthy balanced diet and active lifestyle.
