How to lose weight without exercise: Dr. Mosley names 4 simple solutions

Doctor, expert in the field of dietetics and weight loss Michael Mosley: to lose weight, you need to have dinner early enough and not eat high-calorie foods after 8:00 PM.

Dr. Mosley said in an interview that certain lifestyle changes help you lose weight without exercising, and he also listed several “simple and effective” solutions along the way.

Early dinner. Dr. Mosley calls one way to lose weight the habit of having an early dinner (no later than 7:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.) and not eating high-calorie snacks containing saturated fat and sugar afterward.

“Fat and sugar eaten late at night stay in the body much longer because the digestive process stops its active work – it really doesn’t like late heavy and dense snacks.”

Protein intake. Dr. Mosley recommends that those who want to lose weight eat a “decent amount of protein” – 50 to 70 grams daily.

“Get your protein from meat, fish, legumes,” the expert recommends.

Intermittent fasting. This method involves eating only for a limited number of hours during the day. Dr. Mosley recommends eating for 12 hours first (the remaining 12 hours are fasting), then moving on to a 10-hour eating period (respectively, the time without food will be 14 hours a day).

“I would recommend stopping eating by 8:00 p.m. and not eating anything else until breakfast the next day at 8 a.m.,” the expert shared.

Proper snacks. If those who are losing weight cannot live without snacks, it is better for them to snack on foods with a high fiber content, says the specialist. In his opinion, the ideal snack is a handful of nuts: in addition to fiber, they contain a lot of protein and other beneficial microelements for the body.
