How to make a delicious and thick pasta sauce

If the cutlets are not juicy enough, then it's too early to despair. Gravy will help correct the situation. Thanks to a simple recipe, it can be prepared in five minutes, even if you didn't plan on it. Gravy will make not only cutlets tastier, but also meatballs, stuffed cabbage rolls, pasta, mashed potatoes and many other dishes.

Ingredients:

  • vegetable oil (odorless) – 5 tbsp. l.;
  • tomato paste – 5 tbsp. l.;
  • sour cream – 5 tbsp. l.;
  • butter – 50 g;
  • flour – 5 tsp. l.;
  • water (ideally broth) – 3 cups;
  • salt, black pepper and spices – to taste.

How to make gravy

  1. Heat vegetable oil and butter in a saucepan. Turn the heat down to low, as the butter should not boil.
  2. Then add the flour and mix until smooth. You can use a whisk or fork. Make sure there are no flour lumps left.
  3. Add tomato paste and mix until smooth.
  4. Pour in a little broth (or water). Stir, the gravy will thicken a little. Add the remaining broth (water). Stir.
  5. Add salt, pepper and spices as desired. Stir.
  6. At the end, add sour cream and, as soon as it boils, immediately turn off the heat.
