How to make a delicious green tomato salad

The season for harvesting tomatoes is coming to an end, frosts will soon hit . If you still have a lot of green tomatoes in your garden, you can make delicious dishes from them. You can make healthy pickles from green tomatoes. It is delicious and very easy to prepare. But this is not the only thing that can be prepared from unripe tomatoes.

We offer two recipes to choose from – one “hot”, the other “cold”. None will disappoint, rest assured.

Cold salad

Needed:

  • 3 kg of green tomatoes;
  • 2 heads of garlic;
  • 800 g of sweet pepper;
  • >

  • 3 bulbs;
  • 140 ml of vegetable oil;
  • 120 ml of 9% vinegar;
  • 1 tsp. pepper;
  • 3 tbsp. l. salt;
  • 3 tbsp. l. sugar;
  • pea pepper, greens, coriander and mustard seeds to your taste.

How to cook

Tomatoes should be cut into slices, salted, left for several hours, sweet pepper cut into straws.

Peel and cut the onion into half rings, and then stew over low heat.

Greens, garlic should be chopped, add tomatoes, mix with other spices, then season with vinegar and refrigerate for 2-3 days.

All this time, the tomatoes should be stirred periodically. When ready, roll into sterilized jars or serve to the table.

“Hot” salad

Need:

  • 2.5 kg of green tomatoes;
  • 0.5 kg of onions;
  • 0.5 kg of carrots;
  • 250 g of sweet pepper;
  • ¾ cup vegetable oil;
  • dill, salt, sugar and apple cider vinegar to taste.
  • How to cook

    Tomatoes should be cut into slices, carrots should be grated, peppers should be cut into strips, and onions should be cut into half rings.

    Pour vegetable oil into a pan, put the vegetables in it and cook for 20 minutes, then add dill and spices.

    Hot salad is laid out in sterilized jars and rolled up.
