How to make a simple carrot cake

Have you ever thought that ordinary carrots could be the basis for one of the most delicious desserts? Carrot pie is more than just a pastry. This is tenderness, lightness and rich aroma in every piece.
Ingredients:
- carrots (grated) – 300 g
- flour – 200 g
- eggs – 2 pcs.
- sugar – 150 g
- vegetable oil – 100 ml
- baking powder – 1 tsp.
- cinnamon – 1 tsp.
- walnuts (crushed) – 50 g
- orange zest – 1 tsp. (optional)
Whipped eggs with sugar turn the base into an airy mass, and the oil adds moisture. The secret of this pie is grated carrots, which not only provide a bright color, but also make the texture incredibly tender. Everything is mixed with sifted flour, cinnamon and chopped nuts. Adding orange zest gives the cake a light citrus aroma, which goes well with the sweetness of the carrots.
The dough is carefully poured into a mold and baked at 180°C for about 40 minutes. The finished cake can be decorated with powdered sugar or butter cream. By the way, the cinnamon in the recipe not only adds flavor, but also perfectly emphasizes the natural sweetness of the carrots.
