How to make a spicy spread on bread from red lentils
Soups are most often made from red lentils. However, there is another interesting option for using groats. We suggest you try the spicy pate. It will be very tasty and original on bread and bruschetta.
Ingredients
The following products are needed for preparation:
- red lentils — 200 g;
- water — 400 ml;
- soy sauce — 30 ml;
- garlic – 2 cloves;
- olive oil – 40 ml;
- lemon juice – 15 ml;
- salt, pepper.
How to cook
Lentils should be washed, covered with water and put to boil. The groats will be cooked in about 20 minutes. Add a little salt. Let the puree cool a little.
Garlic, soy sauce, and lemon juice should be added to the lentil puree. Grind everything with a blender. Add ground black pepper to taste. The pate is still a little runny at this stage. when it cools, it will thicken. Delicious!
