How to make carrot casserole

Carrot casserole is a rather interesting dish that is worth trying to prepare. Usually potatoes, cauliflower, and zucchini are used for it. But carrots, as a monocomponent, are not prepared. Choose high-quality, juicy and sweet-tasting root vegetables for the casserole so that the dish turns out perfectly cooked.
Ingredients for the casserole
You will need to prepare several ingredients:
- carrots – 200 g;
- white bread – 15 g;
- milk – 1 tbsp.;
- chicken egg – 1 pc.;
- butter – 15 g;
- breadcrumbs;
- salt.
How to cook
The carrots need to be boiled in salted water, and then grated on a vegetable grater straws. Meanwhile, cut off the hard sides of the bread, if any, and pour over the milk. When it is soaked, crush with a fork. Add melted butter or sour cream, egg yolk. Mix everything thoroughly. At the end, add grated carrots.
Egg whites should be beaten into foam and carefully added to the main mass. When everything is ready, the mixture is placed in a mold. Sprinkle the casserole with breadcrumbs on top and put in the oven to bake. Cooking time is 30 minutes. The casserole is served to the table with melted butter.
