How to make crispy pancakes like waffles

To obtain a crispy texture, it is important to use starch – it gives the pancakes the same lightness and crunchiness. Beat eggs with sugar and salt, add milk and gradually introduce sifted flour and starch. Then add melted butter, which provides a beautiful golden color during frying.

The pan is well heated and greased with a minimum amount of oil. The dough is poured in a thin layer and evenly distributed. The pancakes are fried over medium heat until crispy. The thinner the dough, the crispier the result will be.

The finished pancakes can be served with sweet toppings – jam, condensed milk or even chocolate sauce. They can also be used to serve with savory fillings, such as cheese or red fish.
