How to make delicious gingerbread cookies

Still buying gingerbread cookies from the store and then being disappointed because they are too dry or tasteless? It's time to try the homemade version! Easy-to-knead dough and simple ingredients will allow you to create gingerbread cookies that will impress even the most demanding sweet tooth. And the bonus will be the aroma of the holiday that will fill your home.

Ingredients:

  • flour — 300 g
  • butter — 100 g
  • honey — 3 tbsp. l.
  • sugar — 100 g
  • egg — 1 pc.
  • baking powder — 1 tsp. l.
  • ground ginger — 1 tsp. l.
  • cinnamon — 1 tsp. l.

The butter is melted with honey and sugar, mixing thoroughly. When the mixture has cooled, add the egg, spices and sifted flour with baking powder. Knead a soft dough, which is left to “rest” in the refrigerator for an hour.

The dough is rolled out into a thin layer and cut out shapes – stars, Christmas trees or men. The gingerbread is baked in the oven at 180°C for about 8-10 minutes. The finished gingerbread can be decorated with icing, creating real works of art.
