How to make golden broth from store-bought chicken

Homemade chicken broth is the basis for many dishes. Sauces, soups, gravies, risotto are some of the places where it is used. You need to know how to cook a fragrant and transparent broth. Of course, it is easier to do with poultry. But you can also cook a perfect golden broth from the store without frying.

What is needed for cooking

First of all, you need to take quality water. The best for this is filtered, not from the tap. Try to pour as much water into the pan at once so as not to top it up in the process. The average proportion is 5 liters of liquid per 1 or 1.5 kg of chicken. As a result, you will get 3-4 liters of the finished product. Someone may ask, why can't you add water? Dilution with liquid reduces the taste and saturation of the broth. If you cannot do without it, then use only hot water from the kettle.

Ingredients:

  • chicken – 1 pc.;
  • carrot – 1- 2 pcs.;
  • onion – 1 pc.;
  • parsley root – 1 pc.;
  • bay leaf – 1 pc.;
  • < li>black and fragrant pepper;

  • salt;
  • greens – to taste.

Step-by-step preparation

Depending on which broth you want to get, there will be a different procedure. For a light color and light taste, vegetables and chicken are simply put in the water. If you want to get exactly yellow (golden) color, then we act according to the following plan:

  1. We fill the chicken with water and put it on high heat. Bring to a boil. We turn the heat to low and constantly remove the foam.
  2. The average cooking time is 2-2.5 hours. Cut the carrot and onion in half. Do not peel the spring onions. Put the vegetables to roast in a pan without oil. After that, the vegetables should be placed in the broth.
  3. The spices are placed 30 minutes before readiness. For an even more golden color, you can add a pinch of turmeric.
  4. Check the readiness of the chicken. If ready, strain the broth through a sieve with cheesecloth. So it will turn out transparent.

Golden chicken broth is ready. It is aromatic and rich in taste. You can serve it alone with croutons or make soup from it. Delicious!
