How to make grated pie with the taste of childhood

If you loved the grated pie that your mother or grandmother made as a child, then try baking it according to our recipe, it will bring you back to your childhood.

Details

Ingredients:

2 eggs
200 g of butter
1 cup of sugar
3 cups of flour
2 tsp. baking powder or 1 tsp. soda, quenched with vinegar,
a pinch of salt
Any kind of jam will do, but it will taste best with currant.

Preparation:

Mix the flour with baking powder and salt. Add eggs beaten with sugar and butter to this mixture.

Knead the dough and divide it into two unequal parts: 1/3 and 2/3.
Wrap the smaller part of the dough in cling film and put it in refrigerator for 20 minutes.

Place a thin layer of the base dough on a rectangular baking dish.
Spread it with your favorite jam and spread the cooled dough on top.

Heat the oven to 180 degrees and bake the cake for 25-30 minutes.
It will be ready when it turns golden brown. Delicious!
