How to make healthy beet juice

Did you know that beetroot juice is considered a real elixir for the body? It helps improve heart function, cleanses the blood and even increases endurance. But for the drink to be healthy and tasty, you need to know a few nuances.

Ingredients:

  • beets – 2 medium;
  • apple – 1 pc.;
  • carrot – 1 pc.;
  • lemon juice – 1 tsp. (optional).

Beets are thoroughly washed and peeled. Apples and carrots are prepared in the same way. If you have a juicer, everything chopped is simply loaded into it, and after a few minutes you get fresh juice. If you don't have one, vegetables can be finely grated and squeezed through cheesecloth. To make the taste fresher and more harmonious, add apple and carrot juices to the beet juice, as well as a few drops of lemon juice.

It is important to know that beet juice should be left to stand for a while before drinking – 15-20 minutes in the refrigerator. This allows some substances that can cause stomach irritation to evaporate. It is also worth drinking the juice in small quantities at first, mixing it with other juices so that the body gets used to it.
