How to make homemade crispy cookies

Who doesn't love crispy cookies with a soft center? However, achieving this texture is not always easy, because the slightest mistake can make them too dry or soft. Make cookies that are crunchy from the first bite.

Ingredients for classic crispy cookies:

  • 200 g flour
  • 100 g butter
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 egg
  • a pinch of salt

To achieve the right texture, use cold butter and mix it with the flour quickly so that it does not melt. It is better to use brown sugar – it will add a pleasant caramel flavor.

Bake the cookies at a high temperature (about 180°C), but not for long, and cool immediately on a wire rack. The cookies will become crispy after they have cooled completely, so do not rush to eat them straight from the oven.
