Have you ever tried pumpkin marmalade? It is very tasty and healthy, even if you are not a fan of pumpkin porridge! Marmalade made from pumpkin puree and apple juice does not contain sugar, but has a natural sweetness and a rich taste. This dessert is a great choice for those who are looking for healthy treats without extra calories.
To prepare you will need:
- 300 g pumpkin puree
- 200 ml of apple juice
- 10 g of agar-agar
- 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
To get the most intense taste, use freshly squeezed apple juice. It will retain all the useful properties and add a bright fruity aroma to the marmalade.
The cooking process is simple. First, prepare the pumpkin puree: bake the pumpkin in the oven until soft, and then beat it in a blender until smooth. Next, dissolve the agar-agar in a small amount of water and leave for 5 minutes to swell.
Heat the pumpkin puree and apple juice in a saucepan, add the lemon juice, then add the agar-agar. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
Pour the mixture into a mold and leave to harden. After that, cut the marmalade into pieces and enjoy.
