How to make homemade marshmallows with applesauce
0
Marshmallows are not only a dessert, but also airy sweet magic that is easy to create in your own kitchen. Did you know that the basis for this delicate treat is applesauce? Yes, it is responsible for the texture and lightness.
Ingredients:
- apple puree – 250 g
- sugar – 250 g
- gelatin – 10 g
- water – 100 ml
- vanilla sugar – 1 tsp
Start by soaking the gelatin in warm water to dissolve it. Beat the apple puree, sugar and vanilla until fluffy. Heat the gelatin in a water bath, then carefully add it to the puree, continuing to beat until the mass becomes thick and airy.
Use a pastry bag to form marshmallows on parchment and leave to set in a cool place. By the way, the longer the marshmallow “rests”, the more tender it becomes. And the best thing is that the homemade dessert does not contain preservatives or dyes – only natural ingredients.
