Did you know that mayonnaise can be made at home without raw eggs, using boiled ones? A safe alternative for those who want to avoid raw ingredients but appreciate a real homemade taste. It is easy to make such mayonnaise, and the taste and texture are in no way inferior to the store-bought one.
Ingredients:
- boiled egg — 1 pc.;
- mustard — 1 tsp.;
- lemon juice or apple cider vinegar — 1 tbsp. l.;
- vegetable oil (refined) – 150 ml;
- sugar – 1 tsp;
- salt – to taste.
Peel the boiled egg and grind it in a blender until smooth. Add mustard, salt, sugar and lemon juice, then beat again. Pour in the oil in a thin stream, without stopping beating. In just a few minutes, the mass will become thick and creamy.
Homemade mayonnaise with boiled egg is suitable for both dressing salads and spreading on sandwiches. It is stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days, so it is better to prepare it in small portions.
