Do you also think that homemade lavash is something complicated and time-consuming? In fact, thin lavash can be easily made at home, spending a minimum of ingredients and time. It turns out soft, elastic and is great for any snacks or dishes.
Ingredients:
- flour – 300 g;
- water (warm) – 150 ml;
- salt – 1 tsp;
- vegetable oil – 2 tbsp. l.
In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt. Add warm water and oil, kneading the dough first with a spoon and then with your hands. The dough should be soft but not sticky. If necessary, add a little more flour. Leave the finished dough under a towel for 20 minutes to “rest”.
Divide the dough into several equal parts and roll each into a thin layer. The thinner the rolled dough, the better the pita bread will be. Fry in a dry, preheated non-stick frying pan for 30-40 seconds on each side, until golden brown spots appear.
After frying, place the pita bread on a plate and cover with a towel so that it remains soft. Homemade pita bread can be stored in a bag for several days or frozen for future use.
