How to “make” peonies bloom more luxuriantly
1
If you haven't fed your peonies yet, it's time to do it right now and during flowering. Even if you fed them during bud formation, this is not enough for the flowers to open in all their glory. Let's talk about an effective and inexpensive fertilizer.
What to feed peonies with
During flowering, you should apply a nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium composition.
To prepare it, you need to take 16 g of nitrogen, 16 g of phosphorus and 16 g of potassium. All components must be mixed and the finished complex dissolved (1 tbsp. l. in 10 liters of water).
Add ½ tablespoon of ammonium nitrate to the finished solution. Thanks to top dressing, not only flowering will improve, but also the condition of the leaves will noticeably improve.
The bush will bloom, regardless of what the weather is like outside.
Soil care
In addition to top dressing, it is important to take care of both the bush itself and the soil around the plant.
Be sure to loosen after watering with subsequent mulching of the soil.
This will improve the development of the above-ground part of the bush, increase the number of buds, and strengthen the root system.
Most importantly, such top dressing with proper care will become the basis for lush flowering of the bush next year.
