How to make plum liqueur at home: a simple recipe

This year turned out fruitful both in the garden and in the vegetable garden: plenty of all vegetables, fruits and berries. Sometimes the harvest is such that you simply don't know where to plant it.

Unfortunately, it also happens that you have to throw away what was grown so diligently. Most often, this applies to berries and fruits (apples, plums, etc.).

However, let's still think about where you can “place” a plum.

You will need:

  • ripe plums – 1.3 kilograms;
  • sugar – 400 grams;
  • vodka – 0.5 liters.

Preparation:

1. Sort the plums, discard the spoiled and wormy ones, wash well under cold water and let them dry. When the plums are a little dry, you need to cut them in half and remove the pits.

2. Place in prepared jars, periodically sprinkling layers of plums with sugar. The containers should be filled to about two-thirds of the volume.

3. Cover the jars with clean gauze or a cloth from above, tie (or fasten with a rubber band) and leave the jars in a warm place for two days. The fruit will gradually release juice. The cans should be periodically shaken, then the sugar and juice formed will gradually cover the plums.

4. When the sugar is completely dissolved, you need to add vodka to the plums. We advise you to take good quality. It must cover the fruit. This time, the jar is closed with a lid, put in a cool place for 1-1.5 months.

Sometimes you can shake the jar. After a month, the infusion must be filtered and bottled.
