The basis for homemade processed cheese can be ordinary cottage cheese, which you can easily find in your kitchen. In addition, this cheese can be easily adapted to taste by adding your favorite spices or herbs.
To prepare you will need:
- 500 g of cottage cheese< /li>
- 1 egg
- 100 g of butter
- 1/2 teaspoon of soda
- Salt to taste
- Spices (greens, garlic, paprika – optional)
First grind the cottage cheese through a sieve or beat in a blender to obtain a smooth texture. This is important so that there are no lumps in the finished cheese.
Add the egg, butter and soda to the cottage cheese, mix and place the mixture in a water bath. Stir continuously.
After 10-15 minutes, the mixture will become homogeneous and begin to melt. At this stage, you can add spices for additional taste – garlic, paprika or greens.
Remove from heat and pour into a mold. Allow the cheese to cool in the refrigerator.
