How to make tender rice porridge with pumpkin and apples for breakfast

Rice porridge is not about crumbly rice as a side dish. Breakfast with a delicious dish, seasoned with butter, and enhanced with pumpkin and apples, is a good start to the day. You can feed both adults and children.

Ingredients

The following products are needed for cooking:

  • rice groats – 300 g;
  • pumpkin pulp – 400 g;
  • apple – 1 pc.;
  • butter – 4 tbsp.;
  • milk – 400 ml;
  • sugar – 3 tsp.;
  • ground cinnamon – ⅓ tsp.;
  • salt.

How to cook

Pour water over the rice and bring to a boil. When it comes to a boil, then cook for another 15 minutes. While the rice is cooking, you can start preparing the other ingredients. The pumpkin needs to be peeled and cut into cubes. Peel the apples and also cut them.

Pour the milk into a saucepan. Put the pumpkin and bring to a boil. Add the apples, sugar, cinnamon, a pinch of salt. Remove from heat.

Pour the rice with milk. Stir and cook for about 10 more minutes. Serve the rice porridge in small portioned plates. Don't forget to put a piece of butter in each portion.
