It seems that marinating fish is something complicated, but in fact you can get an exquisite taste using an ordinary orange. The citrus fruit will give the fish a delicate aroma and a pleasant sourness that goes perfectly with mackerel.
Ingredients:
- 2 mackerel
- 1 orange
- 1 lemon
- 1 tbsp. a spoonful of salt
- Black pepper to taste
- Bay leaf
Fillet the mackerel, removing all the bones, and cut into portioned pieces. Squeeze the juice from the orange and lemon, mix it with salt, and add the bay leaf for piquancy. Pour the marinade over the fish, sprinkle with pepper, and leave for a few hours.
The orange will give the mackerel a fresh citrus aroma, and the citric acid will help the fish marinate quickly, preserving all the nutrients.
