How to marinate plums for meat

Pickled plums go perfectly with meat. Barbecue sauces are often prepared on the basis of plums, and if you eat them whole, then gastronomic pleasure is guaranteed for your family and guests.

To prepare, take 3 kg of washed plums, preferably , so that they are ripe but firm. Soft and damaged fruits are not suitable.

Add red sweet pepper to them, which must be cut into strips. Pour the boiling marinade.

The marinade is prepared from the following ingredients:

  • 1.2 kg of sugar
  • 1-2 pcs . bitter pepper
  • 300 g of vinegar
  • 100 g of water
  • 10-12 pcs. cloves
  • 0.5 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3-5 pcs. bay leaves
  • 15-20 pcs. allspice

The pickling schedule is important in this recipe. Plums should be poured with hot marinade twice/day – in the morning and in the evening. So for two days in a row.

On the second day (in the evening), place the plums in jars, pour the finishing touch with hot marinade and close.

The yield is 2.5-3 liters.
