How to pickle bright cabbage with sweet and sour taste

Ingredients for pickling cabbage with beets:

  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 1 liter of water
  • 100 ml of vinegar (9% )
  • 2 tablespoons of salt
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar
  • 3 bay leaves

Cut the cabbage into large pieces or squares, and the beets into thin plates. Cut the garlic into circles.

Lay layers of cabbage, beets and garlic into a deep pan.

For the marinade, mix water, vinegar, salt, sugar, bay leaf and pepper. Bring to a boil and cook for a few minutes.

Pour the hot marinade over the cabbage and beets. Place a wick on top so that the cabbage is completely covered with the marinade.
